Trade mode is an advanced trading interface in the 1inch dApp for users who want more control over their trades. It brings together everything you need to trade efficiently in one place: market swaps, limit orders, a live price chart, and detailed routing information.

Trade mode is similar to the previous Advanced trading interface and builds on familiar swap and limit order flows.

This functionality is supported on EVM-compatible networks.

Use Trade mode if you want more control over your swap price or need to place a limit order, without diving into the full set of Professional interface features.

For quick and simple swaps, the standard swap interface is usually sufficient.

What you can do in Trade mode

With Trade mode, you can:

  1. Swap tokens instantly at the market price

  2. Place limit orders at your desired price

  3. View price movements on a trading chart

  4. Check how your trade is routed across liquidity sources

  5. Track your swap and order history

How to open Trade mode

  1. Open the 1inch dApp.

  2. In the top navigation, click Trade.

  3. In the left pane, choose one of the following tabs:

    • Market for instant swaps

    • Limit to place a limit order

Market swap

Market swap lets you exchange tokens instantly at the current market rate.

This mode is best if you want to complete a trade quickly using the best available price.

How to make a market swap

  1. Select the token you want to pay with.

  2. Enter the amount.

  3. Select the token you want to receive.

  4. Review the estimated rate and network fee.

  5. Click Confirm to confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Additionally, before swapping, you can:

Limit orders

Limit orders allow you to swap tokens at a specific price instead of the current market rate. This mode is useful if you want to wait for a better price before trading.

How to place a limit order

  1. Select the token pair to swap.

  2. Enter the amount you want to swap.

  3. Set your desired price.

  4. Choose how long the order should stay active.

  5. Click Place order to initiate the transaction.

Once placed, your order appears in Active Orders, where you can track its status and execution progress.

Trading chart

Advanced mode includes a price chart for the selected token pair.

You can use the chart to:

  • View recent price movements

  • Switch between different time ranges

This helps you better understand market trends before making a trade.

Routing information

For market swaps, the Routing chart shows how your trade is distributed across different liquidity sources. This helps you understand:

  • Which paths are used to execute your swap

  • How 1inch finds the best available rate

You can open the routing view to see more details about the swap path.

Trade history

All swaps and limit orders appear in your trade history. To view it, check the Trade history tab located below the price chart. The same information is also available in the Account box, so you can easily review your past activity.
