Q: What is happening with the 1inch Card?
A: The 1inch Card programme is being discontinued. Existing cards and accounts remain accessible for now, but new sign-ups are closed and the programme is winding down.
Q: What should I do now?
A: If you hold a balance on your 1inch Card, withdraw it or spend it at your earliest convenience. Sign in to your card account as usual to do this.
Q: Who holds my card funds?
A: Not 1inch. Card balances are held in an e-wallet issued by Monavate, an authorised e-money institution, as has always been the case (for UK users, Monavate Ltd; for EU users, UAB Monavate; see the card terms and the platform terms for details). All support, including questions about your balance, goes through CL support at [email protected] or the chat in your card account.
Q: How do I close my account, or ask about my card status, KYC or personal data?
A: These are handled by the card provider, Crypto Life (CL), legally Frozen Time UNIPESSOAL LDA for EU users and Baanx Group Ltd for UK users. Contact them at [email protected] or via the chat in your card account.
Q: I contacted CL support and I'm not getting a response. Now what?
A: Contact 1inch support with what you asked, when, and through which channel. We'll log your case and escalate it with the provider on your behalf. We can't action account-level requests ourselves, but we will push to get your request handled.
Q: Until when can I use my card or withdraw my balance?
A: Don't wait: move your balance as soon as you reasonably can, and at the latest by 18 December 2026, which is as far ahead as we can currently foresee. Exact card functionality timelines are set by the issuer and provider, not 1inch, so we can't guarantee a specific end date.
Q: What if I miss the window? Is my money gone?
A: No. Under the issuer's published card terms (Section 16, Redeeming the funds held in your E-wallet), remaining e-wallet funds can be redeemed for up to six years after an account closes. Contact [email protected], or the issuer per the applicable card terms. We still recommend withdrawing now rather than relying on this.
