Common Aqua errors and what they mean

Written by Borna Buinac
  1. Unsupported Wallet

Displayed when a user connects a wallet that is not supported by Aqua. The connected wallet is associated with a non-EVM network or an unsupported wallet type.

Solution: Click Connect to connect a supported wallet

  2. Approval Failed (Generic)

Displayed when a token approval transaction fails and the exact failure reason cannot be determined. The approval transaction is rejected, reverted, or fails due to an unknown issue.

Solution: Click Retry approve to initiate a new approval transaction

  3. Approval Failed – Insufficient Gas

Displayed when a token approval transaction cannot be executed because the wallet does not have enough native tokens to pay network fees. The wallet balance is insufficient to cover gas costs required for the approval transaction.

Solution: Click Got it to acknowledge the error.

Add additional native tokens to the wallet and retry the approval.

  4. Coverage Alert

A warning banner displayed on the Overview page when one or more strategies are operating below the required coverage threshold. One or more active strategies fall below the configured coverage requirements.

    Solution:

Expand the alert section to review affected strategies.

    Investigate liquidity allocation.

Add funds or rebalance positions if necessary.

  5. Price Deviation Warning

Displayed when the user sets an opening price that differs significantly from the current market price. This warning helps prevent creating orders that may execute under unfavorable conditions.

Solution: Return to the order configuration screen, where the opening price can be modified

  6. Watch-Only Wallet Connected

Displayed when a user connects a watch-only wallet that can view balances and positions but cannot sign transactions. The connected wallet does not have signing permissions and therefore cannot perform on-chain actions such as creating orders, approving tokens, or managing strategies.

Solution: Open the wallet connection flow, allowing the user to connect a wallet that supports transaction signing

  7. No Supported Tokens Found

Displayed when the user opens the token selection modal, but the connected wallet does not hold any tokens supported by Aqua. The system cannot find any supported tokens in the connected wallet that can be used for creating or managing strategies.

    Solution: Acquire necessary tokens
